Just a thought…🤔 Have you thought about a virtual assembly with your students?
Under normal circumstances, principal-student communications happen naturally through casual face-to-face interactions and, more formally, through school assemblies. The students are used to hearing important news from you. You, the principal, are a credible source of information for them, so it may just add a much needed extra layer of comfort and certainty if they hear about what’s going on (and what’s going to happen) directly from you.
An easy way to do this, is to record a short video message for your students – just using your phone/webcam. You can then upload this to your website for your parents and students.

Who knows, maybe this could even become a weekly video blog from you as you head into a remote Term 2!
